Due to a recent physician vacancy in the community, the Saskatchewan Health Authority says it is expecting to see some service disruptions to the Emergency Department at St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville throughout the coming weeks while they look for a physician for the community.
Physician recruitment includes locum physicians for Emergency Department coverage. They expect finding a replacement physician could take several months.
Currently, The SHA says it has identified a gap in services for the Emergency Department for September 9, 14, 19, 24, and 29.
In the event of an emergency, people in the area are advised to call 911.
Regular services are still in place for admitted patients and outpatient Laboratory and X-Ray services.
