SaskEnergy is conducting a controlled flare at the SRC natural gas vehicle station on the north end of the University of Saskatchewan campus. It will continue for most of the day. Natural gas is being released from the system in a controlled burn. Flaring is required before planned operations work is conducted. People in the area may see a six-foot flare being emitted from specialized equipment. There will be no disruption to natural gas service for SaskEnergy customers in the area.
