The prime minister and the premiers held their 18th conference call to discuss shared response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also committed to a future meeting to discuss health transfers. The leaders slipped away from COVID talks and also talked about measures at the Canada-U.S. boarder as well as trade issues between the two countries. That included tariffs on Canadian aluminum products. The Prime Minister’s Office says Trudeau reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to stand up for aluminum workers across the country.
