Confrontational and Agitated Regina Male Subdued by Police With Use of Taser

Regina Police used a taser Friday morning to subdue and a lone and agitated man.

At about 7:47 a.m. on September 3, police were sent to 22 Nollet Avenue, Suite B, with a report of a male inside the house alone with a possible firearm. Upon entering the residence, police found a man holding a kitchen knife who was confrontational with them. The man went onto a balcony with the knife and, after ignoring police commands to drop the knife, officers deployed a taser in order to safely gain control of the man. No firearm was located. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
