There are 355 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan in addition to 216 recoveries which leaves the active case count at 2,894.
The most new cases are in Saskatoon with 110, followed by the North Central with 73. Twenty-one of the new cases are in Regina.
The seven-day average of new cases is 300.
Right now, 138 people are in hospital, 99 of whom are not fully vaccinated. Of those hospitalized, 22 people are in intensive care.
There were 2,812 doses of the vaccine were administered Friday and just over 700,000 Saskatchewan residents are fully vaccinated.

- Twenty-seven (27) cases with pending location were assigned to the Far North West (from September 2 (1)), Far North East (from September 2 (2)), North West (from September 2 (1)), North Central (from September 1 (3), September 2 (15)), North East (from September 1 (1)), Saskatoon (from September 2(1)), South West (from September 2 (1)) South East (from September 2 (2)) zones.
- One (1) case has been deemed an out-of-province resident and removed from Far North East (September 1 (1)) zone.

- As of September 4th, a total of 138 individuals are hospitalized. Of the 138 patients, 99 (71.7%) were not fully vaccinated.
- No new death reported today. 610 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,038,129 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 2, 2021, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 873,225 tests performed per million population, which is lower than the national rate of 1,073,052 tests performed per million population.
