Canada Day Long Weekend events in Saskatoon mean detours, lane restrictions and no parking signs that are different from normal in the downtown area with the first ones going into effect today. Between 8 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd, Spadina Crescent will be closed between 2nd and 3rd Avenues as well as between 3rd Avenue and the Broadway Bridge. There will be access to the Saskatoon Boat Launch until 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st.

On Canada Day, Saturday, July 1st, from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd, the Traffic Bridge will be closed between 11th and 19th Streets while Saskatchewan Crescent will be closed between Broadway and McPherson Avenues.

As well, from 7 p.m. on Canada Day, Saturday, July 1st to 1 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd, the Broadway Bridge will be closed between 12th and 19th Streets, 19th Street will be closed between 3rd and 4th Avenues, 4th Avenue will be closed between 19th and 20th Streets, Saskatchewan Crescent will be closed between 13th Street and Broadway Avenue and Spadina Crescent will be closed between 3rd Avenue and 20th Street will access to the Saskatoon Boat Launch closed as well.

The City of Saskatoon thanks all motorists for their patience while asking them to drive carefully and watch pedestrians. In addition, Saskatoon Transit service will be affected by the detours.
