Moose Jaw RCMP say a Moose Jaw man who went kayaking on Sunday was reporting missing at Sand Point Beach on Buffalo Pound Lake. It was around 3:45 p.m. that the kayak overturned, and the kayaker didn’t re-emerge from the water.

A search was undertaken by Moose Jaw RCMP, the Regina Fire and Rescue Dive Team, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency and Search And Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers (SARSAV).

The 25-year-old kayaker was found deceased in the water near where he was last since approximately 24 hours after going missing.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is assisting Moose Jaw RCMP with this investigation.
