Community members of La Ronge will get the opportunity to contribute their design ideas for the new inclusive natural playground coming to their town.

Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm, members of the nonprofit organization ParticipACTION and Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds will be coming to Patterson Park to draw input, as well as provide a day full of activities and food for La Ronge residents. ParticipACTION launched the ParticiPARKS pilot project to give communities a supportive and inclusive environment for physical activity and recreation. The playground will be designed as low barrier and accessible, complete with interactive natural wooden features that allow people of all ages and abilities to get emersed in the outdoors.

The ParticiPARKS pilot is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Healthy Canadians and Communities Fund. It aims to improve the health of Canadians who face health inequalities and are at a greater risk of developing chronic disease.
