Over 31 municipalities and communities will receive a total of $13 million from the provincial government for 34 roadwork projects. Highways Minister Jeremy Cockrill says, “These investments in rural economies promote growth and prioritize the safety and quality of roads and bridges in rural Saskatchewan.
The provincial program provides financial support to RMs for the const of constructing and upgrading rural infrastructure. It covers up to 50 per cent of each project’s total to a maximum of $500,000.
