Moody’s Investors Service has affirmed Saskatchewan’s Aa1 credit rating and outlook.
The province had received a Triple-A credit rating over the course of a few years up to the spring of 2021, when it was downgraded to a stable Double-A rating. The provincial government says in a news release that Saskatchewan has the second-highest credit rating among the provinces when all three major rating agencies are considered. S&P Global Ratings affirmed Saskatchewan at its highest credit rating among the provinces in June and in July, DBRS Morningstar affirmed at AA (low) rating.
