A man was arrested early Tuesday morning and faces several charges in connection with an incident that started early Monday morning in Saskatoon.
Around 2am, a patrol officer saw a man with a shotgun entering a vehicle as a passenger in the 200 Block of Avenue W South. The vehicle sped quickly away after an attempted traffic stop. The vehicle was later confirmed to have been reported stolen.
Then around 9:30pm on Monday, the stolen vehicle was located unoccupied in the 1000 block of Taylor Street East. Through investigation, police believed the occupants went to a residence in the 200 block of First Street East. When police arrived, officers saw a man with what was believed to be a rifle.
A search warrant conducted by the Guns and Gangs Unit resulted in one arrest and officers also located a crossbow frame.
