Following a small pilot project, a new Inclusion Support Service is being launched in Regina.
The free service will provide two types of support: Pre-Participation support assists in finding suitable programs and activities, navigating registration, and applying for affordable access.
Leisure Companions provide participants with one-to-one support to the participant while accessing City recreation programs and facilities.
This program offers a variety of service durations such as one-time, short-term, or ongoing, based on the needs of each individual. A news release from the city of Regina says the goal is to have participants enjoy all that the City’s facilities have to offer.
