The onus is on the opposition parties after the Throne Speech to decide if they want to support the minority government or force an election during the pandemic.
That, from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who says he hopes the opposition parties will consider the Throne Speech because his government has no desire to call an election.
He notes that Canadians are still going through hardships because of COVID-19 and there are still real concerns about a possible second wave.
Trudeau says the throne speech will include a strong, ambitious plan to help Canadians right now and to begin the process of building the economy back up.
He added that Canada and the rest of the works is still in an emergency with COVID-19, at least until a vaccine is found, so Canadians need to be vigilant because we are not out of the woods yet.
The Throne Speech is scheduled for September 23rd.
