The Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section has charged a 34 year old Saskatoon man with Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of 62 year old Vincent Machiskinic.
Just before two o’clock Thursday morning, Police responded to the 200 block of Avenue W South on a report of an injured person. They found the 62 year old victim, suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
The accused was arrested Thursday by patrol officers shortly after. Investigators believe this incident was not random and that the accused was known to the victim. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Friday morning.
