Rylan Kleiter of the Saskatoon Hilltops has now won four of the last five Prairie Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week awards.
He averaged over 37 yards in his eight punts, over 49 yards for five kickoffs, nailed all four converts and hoofed a 25 yard field goal in the Toppers 31-7 PFC semi-final victory over the Edmonton Wildcats. Kleiter also caught two touchdown passes.
Hilltops running back Ben Abrook is the Offensive Player of the Week. The PFC rushing champion totaled 153 yards on 29 carries with two touchdowns.
Edmonton Huskies defensive back Justin Hodinsky is the Defensive Player of the Week for his five tackles and two key interceptions during their 20-17 PFC semi-final win in Regina.
The Toppers host the Huskies in Sunday’s PFC final. Game time at SMF Field is 1 p.m. with the broadcast on 92.9 THE BULL starting at 12:30.
