The City of Saskatoon is calling in contract graders to help clear priority streets for the next 72 years.
City officials say they are needed following the six centimetres of snow that fell in Saskatoon since Sunday with the expectation of more overnight.
Officials say they have cleared 22nd Street, Idylwyld Drive, College Drive, and 8th Street with progress reported on Circle Drive and other expressways.
City crews are also salting and sanding overpasses, bridges, busy intersections and icy patches on roads.
The Ministry of Highways is reporting are variety of icy conditions along with snow packed sections and drifting snow on highways around the province.
