A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection to a break, enter, and assault at a home Wednesday on the Muskowekwan First Nation.
When the call came in police were told a woman had left the residence and made her way to a safe location after sustaining minor injuries. She didn’t require medical attention.
Punnichy RCMP tried to gain entry, but say the doors were barricaded and a man began to throw several items at the responding officers from inside the home. He was seen to be pointing what appeared to be a possible firearm toward the officers.
After a short period of verbal negotiations, the man exited the residence and was arrested without further incident.
Anthony Charles Lowe of the Muskowekwan First Nation wasin court Thursday on charges of assault, mischief under $5,000, break, enter and commit an offence, plus two counts assault on a police officer.
