CUPE 882 gave notice to the City of Prince Albert on Tuesday of the intention to begin strike action on Thursday, beginning with refusing to train management, contractors and coworkers.
This union local includes Prince Albert city employees in administration, aquatics, concessions, and recreation.
The union’s website says there are about 90 permanent staff and 60 to 70 non-permanent staff.
With formal notice, strike action could escalate to include a strike.
The City says there is no impact to services at this time.
