A noticeable police presence Tuesday morning in Prince Albert was related to a shooting incident.
According to a Prince Albert Police Service news release, a man was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury that was consistent with a gunshot wound. As well, three individuals have been detained. The release says an officer on routine patrol in the South Hill area of Prince Albert noticed an injured man sitting in the middle of the road on 2nd Avenue West at about 7:10 a.m. Through their investigation, police learned the shooting occurred at a residence in the 2900 block of 1st Avenue West. That’s when a police operation was put into action and the three individuals were detained for further investigation. No charges have been laid and police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information in relation to the shooting is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
