An elderly man described as possibly confused and disoriented, was found 7 hours after leaving the hospital in Moose Jaw, in a nearby field.
86 year old Jim Carter left the Wigmore Hospital around 10 o’clock Thursday night.
An extensive search included Moose Jaw Police, Fire, RCMP, Search and Rescue, hospital staff, friends and family.
Shortly before 6 a.m. Friday morning, Moose Jaw Police issued a news release indicating Mr. Carter had been found and returned to the hospital in fair condition.
The Wigmore Hospital was newly constructed on the northern edge of Moose Jaw and is less than a kilometre, as the crow flies, from the Trans-Canada Highway.
