The 22nd Annual John Arcand Fiddle Fest gets underway tomorrow (thurs) 10 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon on the Pike Lake Highway. This year’s event will include 106 workshops, 12 concerts, 2 old time dances and 18 hours of planned activities for children. Vicki Arcand, the Administrator and Festival Programmer says the festival is the cheapest and best family entertainment that you’ll find. Admission is $60 dollars for a weekend pass, $25 dollars for a day pass and children 12 and under are free. Arcand says there will be evening concert on all three nights from Thursday to Saturday. Some of the artists performing include John Arcand, Rodney Krip and Lucas Welsh. Arcand says there will be bus shuttles operating from Market Mall, Lawson Heights Mall, Confederation Mall and the Heritage Inn.
