The two teens wanted in connection to 3 northern British Columbia homicides died in what appears to be suicides by gunfire. That from the B.C. RCMP after the bodies of 19 year old Kam McLeod and 18 year old Bryer Schmegelsky of Port Alberni were found in northern Manitoba in dense brush near the shoreline of the Nelson River.
Police say both had been dead for a number of days before they were found, so the exact time and date aren’t known but there are strong indications they had been alive for a few days after they were last seen in July, during the extensive search in the Gillam area.
Two firearms were found at the scene and forensic analysis is underway to determine if these are connected to the homicide investigations in B.C. Police are also continuing to try to piece together what happened to Leonard Dyck, Lucas Fowler and Chynna Deese before they died.
