Those who operate retail cannabis shops in Saskatoon may save quite a bit of money each year. That’s if city Councillors move forward in endorsing a report from administration that recommends reducing the annual fee for renewing a business licence from $10 thousand dollars to $500 dollars for retail cannabis shops. The report also provide an option of making the annual fee $85 dollars which is the same for other businesses in the city. The new report also shows what other cities are charging cannabis shops. Vancouver charges over $33 thousand for a business licence and yearly renewal fee while Regina has a zero dollar fee. The city’s planning, development and community service committee will review the report this morning (mon).
