The Provincial Government has announced financing for several policing initiatives. $2.2 million goes to Prince Albert to fund 20 exiting police service positions in 2019-20. Saskatchewan Government Insurance has also provided $544 thousand for an additional three officers as part of the Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan Initiative.
North Battleford receives $770 thousand to fund seven existing RCMP positions. And, Meadow Lake also receives $770 thousand to fund seven existing RCMP positions.
