Resurfacing work gets underway today (mon) on Highway 5 and it’s going to affect traffic heading into and out of the city. Temporary signals lights will be up on the east and west sides of the intersection with Range Road 3043 allowing one-way traffic only, through the area while the work takes place. The signals will be there for about five days, weather permitting, and barring any unforeseen circumstances. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if they can or, expect delays.
The second phase in the westbound lanes will continue through the intersection of Highways 5 and 41 into the city towards the CP Rail overpass. That won’t start until early next month (Sept) and will last until the end of the 2019 construction season.
