It was a dramatic scene at a two vehicle accident, involving a van and a car, at Avenue C and Circle Drive, just heading into rush hour Tuesday afternoon.
The Saskatoon Fire Department got the call at 4:20 p.m. and when they arrived, a van was on its side with one person still inside and multiple bystanders holding the van to prevent it from rolling further onto its roof.
The van was quickly stabilized as was the occupant inside, bystanders were moved to a safe distance so fire crews could cut the van roof off and get the patient out who was taken to Royal University Hospital with undetermined injuries.
One person in the van got out on their own steam while the driver of the car wasn’t hurt. No word on charges.
