The two vehicles involved in an accident with a cyclist, around 3 a.m. this morning, according to Saskatoon City Police, were University of Saskatchewan Protective Services patrol vehicles.
Two campus security vehicles were in pursuit of a cyclist following an alleged bicycle theft on campus. The male cyclist was taken to hospital. His injuries were not life threatening.
Police say their investigation indicates one of the cars hit the cyclist and then collided with the second car.
The intersection at Campus Drive and College Drive was shut down for police to conduct their investigation, for several hours, and re-opened around 7 a.m.
Both the theft of bicycle and the collision are under investigation.
