Regina-Wascana MP Ralph Goodale wants Conservative leader Andrew Scheer to start attending Pride events. He also wants Scheer to change his position on same-sex marriage. Goodale shared a video on his Twitter account of Scheer speaking in 2005 in the House of Commons showing his lack of support regarding same-sex marriage. In fact, Goodale says he would like to see everyone looking to become the next Prime Minister announce their support of gay rights. It’s noteworthy that Goodale himself voted against a bill on the recognition of same-sex spouses, not once but twice in 1995 and again in 1999, Goodale says he has evolved since that time.
