A 17 year old boy charged with 2nd degree murder made his first court appearance this morning (Mon) and has been remanded until Wednesday morning for an appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Saskatoon Police were called to the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive on Sunday morning just after 5 regarding a 22 year old injured man. He was transported to hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

A 17 year old was arrested and taken into custody.Police believe the 2 knew each other. This is Saskatoon’s 11th homicide of the year, nearing the record set last year of 13.
