Saskatchewan has received one of two $31.2 million installments of the federal Gas Tax Fund for this fiscal year. That’s along with a top-up of $61.9 million. The money is to be used for local infrastructure projects across the province. Some of the money is for the City of Saskatoon’s rehabilitation of the Sid Buckwold Bridge and ramp structure. Another beneficiary is the Town of Wynyard which will be using the funds for a new arena sport complex.
