A 34 year old man is facing charges after Saskatoon Police say he tried to evade them this morning (thurs). Around 4:30, officers tried to stop a vehicle around 37th Street and Avenue G. The driver refused to stop. The Air Support Unit watched as the vehicle hit speeds of 150 km/h on Idylwyld Drive. Stop sticks put the vehicle out of commission at 31st Street and Idylwyld Drive but the driver took off on foot. He was caught on the 200 block of 28th Street. In addition to charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Failing to Stop, the driver was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
