The Saskatchewan Roughriders will try to nullify the running of back-up quarterback Chris Streveler when the Green and White host Winnipeg Sunday in the 55th Labour Day Weekend Classic between the two C-F-L West rivals at Mosaic Stadium.
The Green and White aren’t willing to believe statistics when it comes to facing Streveler, who completed just seven of 17 passes for only 89 yards last week as the Blue Bombers won in Edmonton.
It’ll be Streveler’s second start after Matt Nichols suffered an unspecified Upper Body Injury. Winnipeg will, also, be without running back Andrew Harris, who was suspended following a positive blood test for a banned substance.
Game time Sunday for the 6-3 Riders and 8-2 Bombers is 1 o’clock on T-S-N.
