A mild hiring climate is in the forecast for the fourth quarter in the Saskatoon area. The latest ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey shows 10 per cent of employers plan to hire while seven per cent anticipate cutbacks. 80 per cent of employers plan to maintain existing staffing levels. Three per cent are unsure. Spokesman Scott Wiebe says, “With seasonal variations removed from the data, Saskatoon’s fourth Quarter Net Employment Outlook of +7 percent, is a three percentage point decrease when compared to the previous quarterly outlook”. It’s a four percentage point drop from the same period a year ago.
