Although he played last season and signed Tuesday, Jordan Williams-Lambert will not suit up this week for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, according to head coach Craig Dickenson.
The Green and White host Montreal Saturday…then have a bye week. Williams-Lambert will likely be put into the line-up following that…September 28 against Toronto. It’s still to be determined who he replaces…but he won’t get back his #84. Williams Lambert was wearing 17 at Wednesday’s closed practice…choosing to defer to Manny Arceneaux’s veteran status for 84. Meanwhile, Canadian receiver Justin McInnis is dealing with a shoulder injury and is “questionable” for Saturday according to Dickenson. If he can’t play, former Regina Rams’ star Mitchell Picton and Regina-born receiver Brayden Lenius will split time.
