Saskatoon Eastview MLA Corey Tochor has tendered his resignation to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Also resigning today [wed] was Warren Steinley, MLA for Regina Walsh Acres. They have both held office since 2011. Premier Scott Moe thanked them and their families for their work and dedicated service. Tochor has served as Deputy Government Whip, Deputy House Leader, and was elected as Speaker of the House from 2016 to January 2018. He was also Deputy Chair of Committees as well as a member of the Standing Committee for Human Services, the Public Accounts Committee and the Private Bills Committee. Both men are seeking election as Conservative Party of Canada candidates in the upcoming federal election, October 21sdt.
