The Western Hockey League pre-season returns to action tomorrow when Prince George plays Edmonton in Dawson Creek, B-C. The Saskatoon Blades are idle until the weekend when they host the Winnipeg ICE in a pair of pre-season games at SaskTel Centre on Friday and Saturday, September 13^th and 14^th. Game time both nights is 7 p.m. Both of those games will be aired on 98-COOL, beginning with the Sardinia Family Restaurant pre-game show at 6. The Bridge City have 2 wins, 0 losses, 1 extra time loss thus far in the pre-season. Winnipeg has 1 win, 1 loss, 0 extra time losses so far in the exhibition season.

The Prince Albert Raiders are off until the weekend when they play a home-and-home series against the Regina Pats. Friday’s game is at the Brandt Centre with the P-A home game on Saturday. The Canadian Senior Men’s Amateur Golf Championship continues today and runs through Friday in suburban Toronto. The four-day event is a 72-hole stroke play format for individuals. The first two days also feature the inter-provincial team component. Among the Saskatchewan team members is Colin Coben of Delisle. Also part of the field is Rick Hillestad of Saskatoon.
