Prince Albert RCMP are investigating after a man called 9-1-1 and reported being shot in a rural area of Highway 2 and 15th Street Northwest in the Buckland RM. The call came in just before five o’clock Wednesday morning. RCMP and Prince Albert EMS found the man, who sustained a serious but not life-threatening wound. He was taken to hospital in stable condition. Police don’t believe this was a random incident and don’t believe there is any risk to the public. But they are looking for information from anyone who may have been traveling in the area at the time and may have witnessed suspicious activity or unusual items in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
