Big Brothers Big Sisters has the same programs to mentor children but with a new look as of today (Wed), to gear its message towards millennials. Michelle Fergusson with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon & Area says the goal is to attract younger adults in their 20s and 30s to become future mentors and donors. The organization is also challenging millennials across Canada to be a part of something bigger, to help make more change in the world.
One of the programs that most people connect with Big Brothers Big Sisters is what is called Bigs and Littles, where children are paired with mentors for weekly activities, but there are also other programs for groups that focus on healthy lifestyles and emotional well-being and one called Shared Journey that looks at ways mentors and youth can take action for reconciliation in their own lives.
