Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in hot water after a 3rd instance was discovered where he was wearing blackface during the 1990s.
The video has become public of a young Trudeau in blackface, sticking out his tongue for the camera and raising his arms over his head.
Addressing the media in Winnipeg before leaving for a rally in Saskatoon, Trudeau said he was embarrassed by these incidents.
Trudeau admitted he wore makeup during a high school talent show and said he didn’t understand how hurtful this is to people who live with discrimination every day.
Time Magazine shared a picture of him taken in 2001 at an Arabian Nights party at a Vancouver private school.
He also admitted to painting his face during a high school talent show.
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer admitted to reporters they received a video of Trudeau in blackface and turned it over to what he called “a responsible news outlet” for verification.
Trudeau mentioned how he’s wary of being definitive about other situations after he didn’t remember the recent pictures and video that came out.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to be at a Thursday afternoon rally at Saskatoon’s Bessborough Hotel beginning at 5 o’clock.
