Two teenage boys face a long list of charges after a break in to a Punnichy residence.
Police say they were discovered Wednesday night by the lone investigating officer hiding in a basement storage room and pointed rifles at him.
RCMP say the officer backed out of the room, got the homeowner out safely and called for back-up.
Police found three loaded rifles after the officer convinced the boys to surrender peacefully.
The homeowner called RCMP after discovering two rifles were missing with apparent bullet holes in the home and cars on the property from a suspected break-in earlier in the day.
