Jaden Shewchuk’s Prairie Junior Hockey League rights belong to the Delisle Chiefs.
The Chiefs acquired the 20-year-old forward from Fort Knox for the Junior B rights to a pair of 19-year-old forwards Landis Haeusler and Matthew McGrath. Following is the news release from the Chiefs…

CHIEFS LAND SHEWCHUK
Delisle, SK – The Delisle Chiefs, of the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL), have acquired the Hockey Canada playing rights of 1999 born forward, Jaden SHEWCHUK (Saskatoon, SK), from Fort Knox. In exchange, Fort Knox receives the Hockey Canada playing rights of 2000 born forward Landis HAEUSLER (Clavet, SK) and 2000 born forward Matthew McGRATH (Muenster, SK).
SHEWCHUK comes to the Chiefs with Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) experience having played 57 games over the last two seasons with the Melville Millionaires. He posted 18 points (9 goals, 9 assists) and 31 PIM’s over those games. With Fort Knox in 2017-18, he put up 18 points (11 goals, 7 assists) in 21 regular season games to go along with 13 points (7 goals, 6 assists) in 7 PJHL playoff games.
SHEWCHUK played his Saskatchewan Midget AAA hockey with the Saskatoon Blazers (48 games) and Battlefords Stars (42 games).
Chiefs Head Coach & GM Eric Ditto is looking forward to having Shewchuk in the Delisle line-up. “We are very excited to have been able to acquire Jaden. He is a very skilled hockey player with a lethal shot and we can’t wait for him to bring big things to our team.”
