The Saskatchewan Health Authority and Meadow Lake Tribal Council feel they have a process in place that will identify gaps and barriers to health services for First Nations citizens in the area.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed today in Meadow Lake calls for collaboration to access funds for new programs, services and research to improve health care delivery in Northwest Saskatchewan.
Meadow Lake Tribal Council Chief Richard Ben who represents the nine First Nations within the council says the agreement is based on mutual respect.
C-E-O Scott Livingstone says the S-H-A is committed to working with their First Nations and Metis partners to improve health outcomes.
