Conexus Credit Union is donating $500 thousand to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan’s CT Simulator Community Campaign. This pushes the fund-raising total past the $1.2 million mark. The goal is $3 million. CT Simulators enhance care for every cancer patient receiving radiation therapy. Two are needed to replace the units at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina. The simulation provides a patient’s medical team with the images they need to determine the best radiation treatment plan. The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency performed over 26 hundred CT simulations last year.
