Saskatchewan’s Finance Minister says a strike would not be in the best interests of the Crown Corporations at the bargaining table or the people of Saskatchewan.
Donna Harpauer says she is confident in the collective bargaining process as negotiations continue and continues to point out contingency plans are in place if walkouts occur.
Workers at SaskTel, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, the Saskatchewan Water Corporation and Saskatchewan Water Security Agency could begin strike action just after midnight Monday.
Contract talks are scheduled to continue throughout the weekend.
