If you were on Highway 12 this morning north of Saskatoon you may have noticed the Haz-mat unit along with several fire trucks, and the Warman Fire Department, were out in full force after an accident between a semi and a cube van.
The Saskatoon Fire Department says when the call came in it was reported there were chemicals in one of the vehicles.
Fire crews say it was a fairly large debris field after a semi collided with the rear of the van and the chemical being transported was five-45 gallon barrels of acetone.
The Fire Department determined that none of the chemical barrels were leaking plus there were no serious injuries, environmental impacts or public safety risks.
