It’s a big day today (sun) as the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital opened it’s doors to the emergency room this morning at 6 a.m.
Staff, management and consultants have been preparing for months for today’s (sun) transfer of patients from Royal University to the new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.
All in-patient and emergency cases move on today (sun) with the transition of the surgical department beginning tomorrow (mon).
Executive Director of Maternal and Children’s Provincial Programming Carrie Dornstauder says it will take a few weeks to complete the transfer of the surgical and out-patient services.
Orhtopaedics will be the last clinic to move in January.
