Saskatchewan’s largest trade show for seniors is celebrating its 20 anniversary this year.

The Spotlight on Seniors showcase began in 1999 in recognition of the International Year of Older Persons.

Event Chair, Joan Lidington says this year they hope to have more of a celebratory atmosphere, although she says the event will still have the same format as before.

The event which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at TCU Place will have more than 75 exhibitors, presentations and demonstrations to inform and entertain the crowd.

Lidington says the event will provide older adults an opportunity to learn about community services and products that enhance health and wellness. Admission is $10 dollars at the door.

The showcase is also being held in conjunction with Seniors Week in Saskatchewan. Seniors Week got underway Sunday and runs until October 5th.
