A 36-year-old man convicted in the death of John McPherson has received a life sentence with no chance of parole for 14 years.
Alistair Stewart was charged with first degree murder, unlawful confinement and robbery after the the discovery of the 60-year-old in a residence on Cope Crescent.
Saskatoon Police say McPherson was dead when they arrived just before noon on January 7th, 2018 to check on him.
Police say Stewart and McPherson knew each other.
Stewart pled guilty to the lesser charge of 2nd degree murder.
