A member of the public helped a Saskatoon Police officer subdue a suspect after an altercation last night (wed) on the 100 block of 1st Avenue North. It began with a call to police about a suspicious man. When the officer found the suspect and began investigating, police allege he gave a false name and then resisted arrest. That’s when the member of the public stepped in. Other officers arrived and a 29 year old was taken into custody. It turns out he had numerous warrants for his arrest. He was charged with obstruction, Assault on a Police Officer, and failing to Comply with Court Conditions.
