Voting while outside of the home riding is possible before the October 21st Federal Election.
Marie-France Kenny of Elections Canada Saskatchewan says ballots can be cast in person at any Elections Canada office with proof of identity and address.
She says it’s a blank ballot so voters will need to know who they are supporting and write the candidate’s name on the ballot.
Two additional offices will be set up on the University of Saskatchewan campus from October 5th to the 9th.
They are in the Students’ Council building and the Students’ Lounge in the Education building and Kenny says anyone can use them.
Anyone who wants to vote by mail can request the special ballot from their local electoral district office before the 4 p.m. local time deadline on October 15th.
A photocopy of proof of identity and address must be sent in with the application packages.
Elections Canada offices are also open for advance polling.
